Interior Full-Footer Drain Tile System

Our one-of-a-kind full-footer drain tile system starts off with removing 12 to 14 inches of the floor at the wall joint. Then it is dug 6" below the footer to allow for a stone base over which a 4" perforated 3000lb crush-proof PVC drain is placed. This allows water to be captured and rained before it even reaches any of the house structure. Then a series of weep holes are put into each hollow chamber of every block below floor grade to allow hydrostatic pressure to be permanently released. This also allows air to circulate and moisture a place to escape.

Then we place our exclusive drain mat to protect the weep holes as well as the footer. Then, a mold-proof, stain-proof, fire-proof shield is placed against the wall to any height needed to ensure a dry area. The final steps are to bring a stone base to equal the level of the existing floor base. A layer of 6-mil plastic is placed on top of the stones as a vapor barrier so no moisture can enter through the floor. Finally the concrete is replaced.
